Rebel Rouser

Lonnie's been working on a project for over a year now, and he finally had his debut into politics this evening when he appeared before the City Council. The water pressure in our little two-street subdivision is the worst in town, and is barely above the minimum required by law. If it dropped much at all, we'd have to boil our water before we could use it. Around here, you just have to hope that nobody flushes while you're taking a shower, or you're gonna get scalded! Three other men, one from our street and the others from the next street over, also attended the meeting. Although the problem hasn't been resolved, at least the Council instructed the City Manager to get an engineer in here and figure out what it will take to remedy the problem.

On other matters, no - there isn't a leash law, so the cat that keeps jumping on Lonnie's truck and scratching it up had better look out! And the lot just up from us, the one that has two-foot high weeds... The real estate agent will be notified to get it mowed. There's a city ordinance that says folks aren't to let grass and weeds get over seven inches tall. I wonder whether they've noticed that vacant house on Dogwood Circle?
