Bringing You up to Date

As promised, I'm going to try and bring you up to date on what's been going on with us.

In September, right on the heels of the invitational golf tournament at Beaverbrook in August, Lonnie won the Club Championship.

Then, the first week in October, I went to TAPS (Texas Advanced Paralegal Seminar) in Fort Worth. Great classes, and I got to see some of my old friends again.

That Wednesday, we had an outdoors gathering, and I won an American Express gift card from one of our vendors!

Then, Thursday, we had an elegant dinner to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Texas Paralegal Division.

Hard to imagine "elegant" with Texas Motor Speedway?

Maybe, but that's where we had it, in the grand ballroom.

Daingerfield Days took place the 2nd weekend in October. Remember the pepper jelly I made back during the summer? It took first place in the Jams, Jellies & Preserves competition.

I bought a great big pot of yellow mums and put together a bit of fall decor for the front sidewalk. How do you like it?

October 22nd was Bubba's birthday, and it actually fell on a Saturday, so the timing was perfect. He always enjoys a Halloween party for his birthday, so that's what he got. Oh, and he got a new bicycle, too.

And, of course, Lonnie had to try it out, too!

Here's Phillip showing off his new dentures.

And Bubba bobbing for apples.

Carrie and Kaylea made some pretty cool cupcakes for the party, bats ...
and spiders.
