Fishing trip - second installment

We went fishing again this afternoon, back to the Daingerfield State Park. According to the park ranger, they had 2500 cars & trucks come in this Memorial Day weekend. We thought most of them would be gone by the time we got there, but it was still pretty packed. We took the nature trail around to the back side of the lake and found a good place to fish. Sure enough, we caught a huge catfish -- same one three times in the same hole! It broke my line, and then came back for more. Lonnie caught it but wanted to play with it instead of land it, so it got away. I think it sort of made him mad because he pulled out the big artillery, a hook big enough to catch a sea monster. The third time, he was able to keep it on the hook long enough to get it onshore. It flopped around there, croaking at us, while Lonnie tried to get the hook out of its mouth and not get finned. It was a shame to let it go. We could have had a big fish fry with just that one catfish. But what was more of a shame was that I forgot to take along the camera - again!
