Weekend activities

Have you ever seen a sweeter baby? She was one of the many area children who came to the Chamber of Commerce Easter egg hunt.

The hunt is held annually at the Daingerfield State Park. When we arrived Saturday morning, the lake was so still, it looked like a mirror.


Even the park rangers got in the spirit.


And the race is on!


The rangers had marked off areas for the different age groups and the physically challenged kids of all ages.

The Chamber of Commerce and a few generous donors provided upwards of 100 prizes (including four fishing rods) to the lucky kids who found the prize eggs.
