Hot! Hot! HOT!

It isn't even officially summer yet. And June is usually the mildest month in our East Texas summer. But with all the rain we had last week, the humidity is a killer!

This is the temperature at 5:00 this afternoon -- 109.

Fourteen minutes later, Lonnie noticed that the temp had climbed to 115.


A minute later, it went up another degree...


And while he was still standing there, another degree...


He went outside to check the mercury thermometer to be sure the atomic clock wasn't out of whack. It wasn't.

It's still spring, for cryin' out loud! Wonder what August is going to be like...
