TAPS and Austin

We drove to Austin last week (5-1/2 hours) for TAPS (Texas Advanced Paralegal Seminar), and it was great! The seminar featured three days of continuing legal education.

Pam, a paralegal friend from my local association, was there with her husband, Glenn.

The entertainment on Thursday night was the show at Esther's Follies. If you ever get to Austin, spend a little time on 6th Street and you'll more fully understand the motto: Keep Austin Weird!

I got to see old friends from when I served on the Paralegal Division Board some years back. Gosh, that was good! We tried to get a shot of Robert, Pam and me, but just couldn't get a good one out of three tries. Pam had her eyes closed in two of them, and Robert closed his for the third!

Joncilee was there, too. Haven't seen her in years! As always, she is a die-hard Aggie fan!

When the seminar was over on Friday, we did the capitol thing. There was work being done on the dome.

After the capitol, we drove to the UT campus.

While on campus, we visited the LBJ Presidential Library.

The library currently has an exhibit on Walter Cronkite, so we toured that. It was good to see that old familiar face again.
