We drove to Mansfield yesterday afternoon to watch our Daingerfield Tigers take on Cameron-Yoe for the 2A State Football Championship. It was a great game, with D'field getting the first touchdown in the first few seconds of the game. After halftime, though, I thought they must be getting tired because they let the Yoemen catch up with them and tie it up at 27-27. But then they got their second wind and came up with another touchdown in the last few seconds of the game. This is the THIRD, I repeat, T-H-I-R-D State Championship for the Daingerfield Tigers in as many years. A Three-Peat. What a game!
