This is the view up the street from our house early Friday morning. Only one brave driver had disturbed the snowy street.

I love the way our back yard looks, all covered in snow. I don't want to be out in it, you understand, but I do think it's beautiful!
Friday night for supper, I cooked up a pot of chili. Carrie had called, asking for the recipe, and I guess it made me hungry for it. Sure hit the spot!

Lonnie had refilled the bird feeder on Thursday, and it's been covered up with all kinds of feathered friends ever since.
Yesterday, snow was still on the ground, but we decided to make a run to Wal-Mart in Mount Pleasant since the roads were all clear. It seems that everybody else had the same idea. They were sold out of eggs, buttermilk, ground meat and cornmeal.
When we left there, we stopped at Braum's and shared a banana split. Yum! It's been a long time since we've had one.
Before we left Mount Pleasant, we ran by Super 1 Foods because they had Blue Bell ice cream on sale. They had plenty of eggs, buttermilk, etc. Go figure. Anyway, we're set now. I've boiled up a big potful of chicken leg quarters, so we'll have King Ranch casserole and pot pie this week.
