Lonnie's running for public office, believe it or not! Do you remember his fights with city hall over the water pressure? He attends the city council meetings every month, and usually comes away shaking his head. Our city manager (who has just turned in his resignation) has done a great job of building up the city's bank account, but I'm afraid he's done it by not fixing anything. The sewer lines keep collapsing and many of the streets are in terrible shape. They won't hire anybody, so the three men who work the utility department are just run ragged, trying to patch things. But I digress... Lonnie hopes to get on the council so he can actually have a voice in improving things in this little town. Speaking up as a concerned citizen hasn't moved things along very much.
Max isn't so sure about the funny-smelling things he found in the living room, but he sniffed them enough to get all the odor out of them!
