We drove down to Mama's on Saturday to deliver the last of the Christmas gifts going that direction. Carrie let Phillip go ahead and open his, and he was tickled over what he got.
Then yesterday afternoon, we drove over to Tyler to see Barbara & KT.
The captain had to get all dressed up for the occasion, but he got rid of the coat and tie and changed into a more comfortable shirt as soon as the pictures were finished.
Barbara had the whole house decorated for Christmas - a tree in the living room, one in their bedroom, one at the top of the stairs ... Even this little guy was ready for the holiday.
About 3:00 this morning, it started raining, and even sounded a bit like hail or sleet. I'm so glad we went on to Barbara's yesterday instead of waiting until today. We've had over 3 inches of rain so far.
And guess what! Now it's SNOWING! We're going to count it as a white Christmas, even though the stuff is melting about as soon as it hits the ground.
We opened gifts this morning at home. This is the captain in the vest that Laura and Tripp sent him. Doesn't he look handsome?
Max got his all-time favorite present - paper that makes noise!
