This picture is the view from our 18th floor window. Can you see the airplane pulling the banner across the sky? It's above the tan-colored building just to the right of center.
I had to get this shot of Lonnie and Pegasus. Quite a pair of studs, don't you think?
After we quit for the day on Friday, some of us took the hotel shuttle to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza.
Here we are on the elevator, ready to go up to the sixth floor. We were a happy-looking bunch, but I tell you what, seeing all those things and listening the the narrative really made for an emotional evening. I remember seeing the 6th graders coming out of the film room at school, and some of them were crying and told us that President Kennedy had just been killed. I was dumbfounded. I mean, shooting the President was sort of like shooting a preacher or a parent, wasn't it? Who does that???
