Valentine's Day 2015

'Twas a day for hearts and flowers and love. I knew it was coming, but still delayed in making dinner reservations for my sweetie and myself. When I did call, I learned that every place we wanted to go was either booked solid or was expecting at least a one-hour wait time for a table. Sooo ...

Instead, on Valentine's Day Eve (is that an actual holiday?), my sweet husband grilled up a beautiful and tender rib-eye steak. I'm not much of a steak-eater, but I can't resist his. The seasoning is absolutely the best.

To go along with that juicy hunk of meat, I prepared two new recipes, Garlic Hasselback Potatoes and Spinach Salad with Warm Bacon Dijon Dressing, and served them along with homemade Sourdough Bread. [sigh]

For the actual Valentine's Day holiday, we drove over to Bossier City and enjoyed a concert by Celtic Thunder. Great performance, and I would recommend that you make the effort to see them when they're in your area.
