Park reopening!

I attended the B&PW meeting tonight at the Daingerfield State Park. It isn't officially reopened yet, but we got a sneak preview.

This is the swimming area as viewed from the pavilion.


This is the front of the pavilion. They're trying to preserve as much of the 1930's CCC style as possible.


And here is a shot of the grassy area across from the front of the pavilion.

The park ranger said they're going to have a "soft opening" the weekend of July 1, and are already completely booked. The official grand opening will be in October. The trees will be gorgeous then, so if you're in the area, make plans to be there.
