But I wanted fish for supper

Lonnie and I really had a hankering for some fried fish this evening, so we drove down to Catfish Village near Ore City. There were lots of people standing outside, and we wondered why. But it didn't take us long to figure it out. The restaurant had no electricity!

Turns out that a transformer had blown somewhere east of them. We waited about an hour before the bucket truck from Upshur Rural Electric even came by. Nearly 30 minutes later, there was still no electricity, so we finally left.

We ended up at Hawkins right here in Daingerfield, and I had their fried fish. It wasn't David Beard's, but it still was really good!
