Thanksgiving!

It's Thanksgiving once again. That time of year when the hoard descends on Mother's place and tries to eat her out of house and home. Hah! We were ready for them. We thought 58 were coming, prepared for about 100, and had 46.

Mama cooked until about midnight, had not eaten breakfast this morning, and was probably about ready to cave in by the time she finally sat down with a plate.

Sunday will be Mama & DB's 8th anniversary. I never did get a picture of just the two of them, but here they are with Kylie, my great-grandbaby.

Thanksgiving is the one occasion where we make a real effort to assemble ourselves together as a family. There's always lots of visiting and silly pictures.

This is Becca and her kiddos. Her babies have all grown so big!

Not really sure what's going on here with Carrie and Dylan.

I guess Trevor wanted to see whether there were any birds at home.

Bethany, my sweet girl baby, looks like her mama, with dark hair.

I don't know who Bubba and the girls were hiding from, but the bare fig tree wasn't much cover for them.

I'm sure that whatever Gail is opining about is very enlightening.

This is Gail's youngest son's youngest son, Riley.

Carrie and Lonnie, solving the world's problems.

Eugene watching Judy Lynn as she communicates the whole situation. Notice her shirt? She and her dad went to the inaugural F1 race in Austin last weekend.

Buddy, my mother's firstborn. He seems to think that makes him special or something.

This is Brenda's firstborn, Kaitin. My beautiful redheaded granddaughter.

This is Edward, DB's firstborn.

I just love Dylan's eyes, don't you?

Did I mention that Kylie lost a couple of teeth? Her new ones are coming in, though, so she didn't miss a beat at the table.

It surprised me how much Bobby Dale looks like my Daddy here.

Jon with Kylie. I always tell her she looks like her daddy with long hair.

We had to do the five generation pose. From left, Mama, Amber, Kylie, me, and Jon.

Charles had the right idea. I think we were all ready for a nap by the time we got through eating!
