Paralegal Division Annual Meeting

Welcome sign
Lonnie and I drove over to Dallas last week for the Texas Paralegal Division Annual Meeting and the Board Meeting.

Thursday evening, after the Outgoing Board Meeting, most of the officers and directors hopped the shuttle (or in Joncilee's car) and made the short trip to Painting with a Twist. We all painted a version of the same picture, but they didn't come out looking the same.

Our group. You'll notice I'm the only one concentrating on my work!

Pam, who has District 12, to my north.
Then, on Friday, we had the Annual Meeting and installation of new officers.

Clara
My friend Clara, from El Paso, is the new President-Elect.

Molly, Joncilee, and Misti
Molly (from TBLS), Joncilee (outgoing President), and Misti (incoming President)

Justice Murphy

Justice Mary Murphy was our keynote speaker. Inspirational and funny all at the same time.

Saturday was the incoming board meeting, and believe it or not, we actually got through early. That has to be a record! The first year I was on the board, the meetings sometimes went until midnight!

Today, I've been corresponding with my District members, and I think I have finally found a Continuing Education subchair. And two people to write articles for the Texas Paralegal Journal. Hallelujah! Life is good.
