Weekend with Phillip

We drove down for Phillip's piano recital and awards ceremony on Friday afternoon. I could have kicked myself for running off without my camera, and I don't have any pictures to show you.

He came back home with us and spent Friday night and Saturday, and then we met Carrie and Lonny in Longview today to take him back.

Saturday, as you might suspect, was a FULL day! He started and ended the day by checking out every inch of the yard and house.

We had waffles for breakfast, and then loaded up and drove out to the Daingerfield State Park to go fishing.

We didn't catch any fish, and really didn't even get many nibbles, so after much cajoling on PJ's part, we finally rented a pedal boat and he and PawPaw headed out on the lake.

He wanted the #9 boat because he's 9 years old.

Guess who did most of the pedaling!

Looks as though he's ready to go for a swim as well!

No swimming while we were at the lake, but as soon as we got back to the house, he had to try out the Jacuzzi tub!

I don't know who slept harder last night--Phillip, PawPaw, or me!
