We talked to Carol today. She has the same kind of brain cancer that Ted Kennedy has: glioblastoma multiforme. It is the most aggressive kind of brain cancer there is. No definitely known cause, although there are the usual suspects. The doctors have opted to give her a two-week reprieve to heal, and then they'll begin treatments. Ron has been right there with her, and we so appreciate that. Her kids all flew home today, but Gene and his wife will go back in a couple of weeks. The picture is of Carol and Ron at a happier time.
