Your tax dollars at work

Enough already! Eugene forwarded me an article written by Oliver North - you remember him, don't you? Olly has uncovered a recent government report about us (you know, the radical right-wing crazies, war veterans, 2nd Amendment proponents, and other such scary types). I think one of the most unsettling things about the report is that, right up front, there is a warning that it is not to be made available to the media, the general public, or anybody else without a need to know. Well, my tax dollars go to support the Department of Homeland Security that produced this report, so I guess that gives me a need to know. Read the report for yourself and see what you think. You can click on the title to this section of the blog and it'll take you right to the report. How long has it been since you've written to your Senator and/or Congressman? Many of them are online now, so you don't even have to buy a stamp... although I guess that would help support the Post Office so they can continue to deliver mail on Saturdays.
