Building a Deck

Lonnie started on his next major project this week -- a deck! He's drawn plans, played in the dirt, dug holes, scoured the candy store (Lowe's), and just had way more fun than I have with all this.




This is the entire length of the deck, phases I and II. Only phase I will have a roof over it (unless, of course, Lonnie gets carried away!). The whole thing is 12" x 30".










This is the north end, or Phase II.

Today he's out there in the rain, digging the holes a little deeper. He was so anxious to get started that he didn't stop to change out of his good leather houseshoes. The man just never quits!
