What shall I name her?

See my new ride! Never imagined that I'd own a Cadillac - always thought of it as an old lady's car. (Now, don't you go thinking I'm old, okay?) This little red rider is pretty nice, and has lots of pick-up too.

Carrie and I took my little Malibu to Fort Worth a few weeks ago, and she kept saying something was making a popping noise. (She's married to a mechanic, you know.) If it really was making a noise, I'd just been hearing it so long that I didn't notice it any more. Anyway, when we got back, she had Lonny look at it, and he decided I didn't need to drive it home. So my Lonnie had to drive down there and pick me up. They took it to the shop that next Monday, and the mechanic there said "sell it".

Well, we had been sort of looking around for a car, not really seriously, but just to see what was out there. All of a sudden, we had to get serious! I test-drove a little BMW hard-top convertible, and it drove lot like my Camaro - loud and stiff. That wasn't so bad, but everything was in the wrong place. And it was an automatic, which takes all the fun out of a sports car. You could switch it over to manual, but it just had little paddles on the steering wheel, no clutch. Where's the fun in that?! Anyway, for the price difference, I think we got a really good deal with the Caddy. And besides, it's red. Two cars ago, I said my next car was going to be red. Took a little longer than I intended, but I finally have my red car.

We picked it up on a Tuesday evening and left early the next morning for Laura's. It had a hard test drive - 85 MPH across four states - and performed beautifully. As a matter of fact, the picture above was taken at Luverne, Alabama.

Now, I need to come up with a name for her. Any suggestions?
